Come and join me on my guided walks in the Vale of Glamorgan, with history talks, good company, amazing views and plenty of fresh air!

2nd September – SALMON LEAPS WALK
Recently featured in The Times in an article detailing ’20 of the UK’s most beautiful woodlands for winter walks, this delightful, refreshing walk includes a glacial valley, the Cwm George Iron Age hill fort, and, if you’re lucky, an historical character or two. A circular walk ,from The Star Inn at Dinas Powys, we will be joined by our wonderful historian Graham Loveluck-Edwards who will share with us some local stories. Great company, fabulous scenery, plenty of fresh air and great walking! A fantastic day out in the Vale of Glamorgan!
9th September – HAUNTED FIELDS WALK
Starting in the lovely village of St Nicholas, this walk passes the splendid Dyffryn House & Gardens, and two Neolithic burial chambers that are older than Stonehenge. A circular walk, from outside St Nicholas Church, we will be joined by our wonderful historian Graham Loveluck-Edwards who will share with us some local stories. Great company, fabulous scenery, plenty of fresh air and great walking…and a few surprises! A fantastic day out in the Vale of Glamorgan!
16th September – EWENNY & SPRING FLOWER WALK
An idyllic, circular trail with outstanding views across South Wales and towards the Somerset coast. It is rich in heritage sites, including St Bridget’s Church in St Brides Major, and – at the furthest reaches of the walk – Ewenny Priory, the most complete Norman church in Wales, and the subject of one of JMW Turner’s finest paintings.
A circular walk from the village of St Brides Major, we will be joined by our wonderful historian Graham Loveluck-Edwards who will share with us some local stories. Great company, fabulous scenery, plenty of fresh air and great walking! A fantastic day out in the Vale of Glamorgan
23rd September – COAST & PIER WALK
A linear coastal route rich in heritage features. Visit Lavernock Point which, in 1897, was the site of the world’s first radio transmission over open sea by Marconi. Today, you’ll find the remains of a 19th century gun battery and a nature reserve with rich hedgerows. Enjoy fine views of Penarth Pier and Cardiff Bay as you head towards the end of the route.
The route is dog-friendly, with no stiles, no livestock, numerous dog litter bins, and The Captain’s Wife is a dog-friendly pub.
