October 7 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
£5
Join TV’s Chris Jones for an audience with the author Graham Loveluck-Edwards at Cowbridge Town Hall on Saturday 7th October from 6pm till 9pm. Graham is best known for the best selling ‘Legends and Folklore of Bridgend and the Vale’ series of books, for his regular columns in the Glamorgan Star and Buddy Magazine and for his history show; History on your doorstep on Bro Radio FM.
Graham is about to publish his fourth book entitled Monica.
The new book is a social history following a family’s movements across Europe in the mid 20th Century to escape war and poverty but instead finding themselves right in the thick of it. It also records their experience arriving in Pontypridd after the war to make a new life for themselves in Wales.
In this interview with Q&A with the audience you will get to see a unique perspective of this new book and the remarkable family and events at the heart of it. The discussion will include the very real history behind the stories, who the people at the centre of it really were, their connection to the author, and to Bridgend and Cowbridge.
Tickets are priced at £5 per person which includes entry, a buffet and drinks on arrival.
