Craft Republic is a family-owned independent bar and shop specialising in craft beer, spirits and wine based in The Goodsheds Barry. Named UK's Best Independent Craft Beer Bar or Pub (City) by SIBA 2022.

We're fully dog friendly, have a beer garden and we're a short walk or cycle ride from Barry Island.

We have 14 lines of craft beer, lager and cider pouring from our state-of-the-art Direct Draw system - our line-up is constantly changing, we strive to bring the best craft beers from independent producers all over the UK and the world. We also have a seasonally changing cocktail menu and over 40 different wines, all hand-picked by us.

When selecting suppliers we put an emphasis on supporting independent producers that as well as producing exceptional drinks also have strong ethical and sustainability values. Winner of Best Bar category in the Cardiff Life Awards 2021 (highly commended finalist in the 2022 awards).

We're also the home to Barry Island Spirits.  Developed by us to our own unique recipes, Barry Island Gin (winner of a Great Taste Award 2021 Gold Star and a finalist in the 2022 Gin guide awards), Barry Island Rum, Barry Island Pink gin and Barry Island Vodka blend the finest botanicals with Welsh water to create premium quality Welsh spirits. All are available to drink in or to buy to take away.
